Following these five easy steps will make you ready to transform your interior.
Choose your Acupanel finish
With five striking colourways to choose from, deciding on a finish is not always easy. Our warm, mid-tone woods include the popular oak and walnut, or for a more intense, dark shade, consider smoked oak or black.
With the added advantage of a sampling service, you can see how the panelling looks in the space before you commit to a final purchase.
Decide on the height
While most people tend to choose to clad an entire wall or ceiling with wooden panels, this doesn’t have to be the case. Panelling to dado height might sound ‘old hat’; however, it may suit your room
Measuring up for Acupanel®
Once you know the area you intend to clad, you will need to measure the height and width. Unlike other wall panelling that requires the overall size to be calculated, each Acupanel is supplied in a fixed dimension of 2400 x 600mm and is designed to be fitted vertically from floor to ceiling.
Calculating the quantity
If a wall measured 3.7m and its overall height was 2.3m, you would need to order seven lengths of Acupanel®.
Preparing the walls
You will need to ensure the wall has an even surface, but things like hairline cracks do not need any preparation or integral filling. Any loose plaster should always permanently be removed, and then filled with an appropriate filler. Once dry, as long as the surface is relatively uniform, there’s no need to sand it down to a smooth plaster finish!
Following these five steps, you’re ready to install stunning Acupanel® wall panelling!
